Knitting for a Baby Girl!

It's official! Kelli, my niece in California, is having a girl. Tony and I will be Great Uncle and Great Aunt. How exciting. All the women in the family are jumping with joy because the shopping legacy will continue. My sister in law and mother in law are legendary shoppers. I really don't hold a candle to them. All the baby talk has my knitting booties. These are Beth's Easy Booties from Bev's Country Cottage website. I used this pink freebie yarn I had to give the pattern a try. I like it and I have already made one white bootie with Mission Falls 1824 Frost. It is so very soft and it is beautiful to work with. I think I'll be making many sets of booties with this yarn and spending time picking it up at Handheld Knitting.
In other news, it is freezing cold today and it was a wild ride to work. There were over 8 wrecks on the Freeway. Almost like living in a metro area. Makes the hubby miss CA.
